The AlloyCars Spyder:
Constructed with a curvaceous aluminum body wrapped around a tubular steel ladder chassis that has a 1.5-liter air-cooled mid engine, the 550 weighed 550 kilograms (1,213 pounds). With its 135hp engine in such a lightweight, superb handling machine, the 550 beat every other vehicle within its own class and could run with much higher-powered (but heavier) machines.
“We can build your car to any custom stage,

Only a limited quantity of 4-5 units/year will be available for those customers who understand exclusivity and timing. Our cars are built to exact specifications as in 1955.  The 550 Spyder is considered one of the most desirable and legendary sport  cars of all time.

The Alloycars 550 Spyder is being fabricated with an exact reconstructed chassis and aluminum body. This car can be assembled with authentic reproduction- and genuine Porsche parts including a 1950's period Porsche 356 engine, suspension, drum brakes and steering assembly. The Porsche four cam engine and other engine options are possible.

Spectators of the 1954 Mille Miglia witnessed driver Hans Hermann and navigator Herbert Linge race the low slung Porsche under a railroad gate milliseconds before an approaching train. At the 1954 Le Mans, a 550 won its class. Also known as a Spyder or RS, the 550-placed first overall at the ’56 Targa Florio contest in Palermo, Sicily, giving Porsche its first overall victory ever.
